What Is a Corpsmember?

Civic Works corpsmembers spend one year or one summer serving Baltimore’s communities. In return, they receive a modest stipend, skills training, and an education award that can be used for college, trade school, or to repay qualified student loans.

In order to be a Civic Works corpsmember, you must be:

  • At least 17 years old;
  • A U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or lawful permanent resident; and
  • Able to pass a drug test

Some programs have additional requirements and restrictions. To apply, please download and fill out the Corpsmember Application in the “Download” section and email it to the appropriate email address. Applications may also be mailed or delivered in person.

Community Lot Team

The Community Lot Team is hiring Baltimore City residents, to spend approximately 5 months transforming vacant lots into community parks and gardens. Healthcare Careers Alliance

The Healthcare Careers Alliance is recruiting Baltimore residents, ages 18-21, to join training cohorts. Participants will receive a modest training stipend during the 6 week training program and will be placed in a paid internship at a Baltimore area hospital.
