Goodnow Community Center

Our after school and summer programs at the Goodnow Community Center (formerly the Goodnow PAL Center) serve 300 2nd through 10th grade students each year. The program offers a variety of academic and enrichment activities that promote respect, honesty, cultural diversity, civic responsibility and teamwork. AmeriCorps members provide homework assistance and utilize KidzLit, KidzMath, and Anywhere Learning System’s A+ Software to support academic skills development. The program year is divided into thematic months, which guide the academic, enrichment, and recreation activities. Our after school program at the Goodnow Community Center enjoys good communication with parents and family members and benefits from the presence of enthusiastic, committed AmeriCorps members who relate well to the youth.
